The federal state educational standard names, among the meta-subject learning outcomes, the perception and understanding of the text, the ability to extract and transform the information contained in it. At the same time, special attention in the field of speech development is given today to oral speech, its monologue and dialogical forms. The novelty of the research is determined by justifying the need for the interrelated development of reading and speaking skills and identifying ways to develop oral speech based on reading the text. The practical significance is associated with the description of the stages of work on the interrelated development of reading and speaking, the development of tasks for each stage.
