На основе анализа переводов семи романов А. Мердок выявлены четыре способа пе ревода аллюзий: описательный, использование в переводе поясня ющих элементов, наличие комментария и отсутствие каких-либо приемов преодоления разницы энциклопедической информации в тексте. В заключение указывается на необходимость ознакомле ния с культурно-значимыми моделями мышления носителей ино странного языка для овладения коммуникативной компетенций. ; The article deals with the problem of transfer of linguistic cultural information when translating allusions in literary texts from English into Russian. On the basis of the linguistic analysis of seven novels by I. Murdoch four modes of translation of allusions were singled out: the descriptive way, the use of explicative words in translations, the use of commentary and the absence of any means of adapting the differences in encyclopedic information in the text. In conclusion the necessity of familiarization of students with culturally-important models of thinking of native speakers of English is pointed out, which is considered to be a necessary element of mastering communication competence.
