National audience ; Abstract: This article studies reformulation as a linguistic process and interactional know-howintervening in a debate for its maintenance. We consider that reformulations are linguistic andinteractional indicators that identify and co-construct the dynamics of verbal interactions byparticipants. For this, a discursive and interactional analysis was conducted on excerpts of a debaterecorded with first year undergraduate class in the French department of the University of Tlemcen(Algeria). The results underline how the dynamics of debate favoured the development ofreformulation acts and highlighted these interactional skills for the evaluation of interactioncompetence. The analysis will also feed, the following questions: can we speak of markers ofreformulation? Is it possible to delimit a class for these markers? ; Résumé Cet article étudie la reformulation comme processus langagier et savoir-faire interactionnel intervenant dans un débat pour son maintien. Nous considérons que les reformulations sont des indicateurs linguistiques et interactionnels permettant de repérer et de co-construire la dynamique des interactions verbales par les participants. Pour cela, une analyse discursive et interactionnelle a été menée sur des extraits d’un débat enregistré en classe de 1ère année licence dans le département de français de l’université de Tlemcen (Algérie). Les résultats soulignent en quoi la dynamique de débat a favorisé l’élaboration des actes de reformulation et a permis de mettre en évidence ces savoir-faire interactionnels pour l’évaluation de la compétence d’interaction. L’analyse nourrira aussi, les interrogations suivantes : peut-on parler de marqueurs de reformulation ? Est-il possible de délimiter une classe pour ces marqueurs ?
