In der wissenschaftlichen Literatur werden diese Grunddispositionen anhand von Basiskompetenzen bzw. so genannter Vorläuferfähigkeiten definiert, die sich bereits vor Schuleintritt entwickeln und sich für spätere schulische Leistungen als relevant erwiesen haben. Die vorliegende Untersuchung hat zum Ziel, ein neu entwickeltes Einschulungsscreening auf die Übereinstimmungsvalidität mit dem bereits etablierten Würzburger Vorschultest zu überprüfen und fokussiert sich hierbei auf jene Untertests der beiden Verfahren, die schriftsprachliche und mathematische Vorläuferfähigkeiten erheben. In einem querschnittlichen Design mit zwei Messzeitpunkten wurden beide Verfahren einer Stichprobe von 51 Kindern im Jahr vor der Einschulung vorgelegt und die Testleistungen beider Zeitpunkte auf Zusammenhänge untersucht. Im Sinne der Übereinstimmungsvalidität ist davon auszugehen, dass die Leistungen in zwei Verfahren, die das gleiche Konstrukt erfassen, miteinander in hohem Maße korrelieren. Diese Annahme konnten für den Großteil der Untertests bestätigt werden, während nur drei die statistische Signifikanz knapp nicht erreichten. Diese gefundenen Hinweise auf Übereinstimmungsvalidität bilden einen Beitrag zum Nachweis der Testgüte des Screeningverfahrens, das in Zukunft in der österreichischen Schuleingangsphase Verwendung finden soll. ; For a child to be deemed “school ready” in Austria, it has to have reached a certain degree of maturity in regards to their physical, social, emotional, cognitive and language development as well as the necessary basic conditions to be able to acquire the cultural skills taught in school (writing, reading, arithmetics). According to scientific findings, these requirements consist of a number of basic competences that evolve in the years before school entry and have been shown to be relevant for later academic achievements. This study examines the predictive validity of a newly developed school readiness screening in regard to the Würzburger Vorschultest, a well-established testing battery for school readiness in preschool students. The focus was laid on subtests that measure mathematic and language development. In a cross-sectional design, the subtests of both the WVT and the Screening were presented to 51 children in the year before school entry. The data was gathered at two timepoints and the results were correlated on a subtest-level. On the basis of the concept of predictive validity, it was assumed that the results of two tests that measure the same concept will present high correlations. This assumption was confirmed for most of the subtests, while three of the paired subtests only came close to the significance level. These findings indicate predictive validity and can be seen as an important part of the process to attest the quality of the Screening, which will be implemented as a developmental diagnostic tool in the Austrian school-entry system.
