Abstract:
This work proposes a historiographic analysis of the treatment of linguistic difference in grammatical codification. We present diverse ideas that aim to facilitate the configuration of a grammaticographic model from a general perspective, more speculative and methodological than empiricalpositivist. Our objective is to explain why things are –or, better, have been– in a certain way rather than describing or prescribing how they can evolve. This study shows that the linguistic difference tends to be absent in texts of grammatical codification, that is, grammars tend to exclude linguistic difference. When the rule is not met but the exception is, the difference usually appears either assigned or marked. When that does not happen, the difference is fully included in the grammar. And yet this -in the absence of detailed and empirical studies- is exceptional. ; El presente trabajo ofrece una propuesta de análisis historiográfico del tratamiento de la diferencia lingüística en la codificación gramatical. Se presenta una batería de ideas sobre el asunto que pretenden facilitar la configuración de un modelo gramaticográfico desde una perspectiva general y más especulativa y metodológica que empírico-positivista. Se trata de explicar por qué las cosas son –o, mejor, han sido– de una determinada manera más que describir o prescribir cómo pueden llegar a ser. De nuestro estudio se concluye que la diferencia lingüística tiende a no aparecer en los textos que se ocupan de la codificación gramatical; o, mejor: las gramáticas tienden a no incluir diferencia lingüística. Cuando la regla no se cumple y sí la excepción, la diferencia suele aparecer o bien asignada, o bien marcada. Cuando tal no sucede, la diferencia entra de lleno en la gramática; ahora bien, esto (a falta de estudios detallados y empíricos) sí que es excepcional.
