Abstract:
Online environments for terminology management congregate important tools that together can be used by terminologistsin order to help them creating terminological products in a simpler and faster way. The objective of this paper is to evaluate three ofthese environments (e-Termos, VoTec and TermWiki) having as a starting point our needs, as terminologists, while conducting aresearch project that culminated with the construction of an online collaborative glossary for learners of International Relations(hereinafter IR). To evaluate these three environments, we adopted a heuristic approach (Nielsen; Molich, 1990). After the analysis,and considering the results, we confirmed what we had already noticed during the course of the project: the environments did not fitour needs. As a result, in the last part of the article we present the solutions we have found to manage the terminology of IR. ; Los ambientes de gestión terminológica en línea reúnen herramientas importantes que los terminólogos pueden usar paracrear, de un modo simple, eficiente y ágil, productos terminológicos adecuados para especialistas y estudiantes de un área deespecialidad. El objetivo de este artículo es evaluar tres de estos ambientes (e-Termos, VoTec y TermWiki), teniendo como punto departida nuestras necesidades, en tanto que especialistas terminólogos, durante la realización de un proyecto de investigación queculminó con la construcción de un glosario en línea colaborativo para aprendices del área de Relaciones Internacionales (RRII). Paraevaluar estos tres ambientes, adoptamos un acercamiento heurístico (Nielse; Molich, 1990). Una vez realizado el análisis yobtenidos los resultados, confirmamos lo que ya habíamos notado durante la realización del proyecto: los ambientes no seadecuaban a nuestras necesidades. Por este motivo, en la última sección del artículo, presentamos las soluciones que hemosencontrado para gestionar la terminología del área de RRII. ; Ambientes on-line de gestão terminológica reúnem ferramentas importantes que, juntas, podem ser usadas porterminólogos no sentido de auxiliá-los a criar, de forma mais simples, eficiente e ágil, produtos terminológicos adequados aespecialistas e estudantes de uma área de especialidade. O objetivo deste artigo é avaliar três destes ambientes (e-Termos, VoTec eTermWiki), tendo como ponto de partida as nossas necessidades, enquanto especialistas terminólogos, durante a realização doprojeto de pesquisa que culminou com a construção de um glossário on-line colaborativo para aprendizes da área de RelaçõesInternacionais (doravante RI). Para avaliar esses três ambientes, adotamos uma abordagem heurística (Nielsen; Molich, 1990). Feitaa análise e frente aos resultados, confirmamos o que já havíamos percebido durante a realização do projeto: os ambientes não seadequavam às nossas necessidades. Em função disso, partimos para a última etapa do artigo, qual seja, a apresentação das soluçõesencontradas por nós para gerenciar a terminologia da área de RI.
