; The fragility of ethical education in political-pedagogical projects of health-related courses has attracted the attention of researchers who have demonstrated concern regarding teaching, by highlighting its importance, qualifying its existence, and justifying the need for spaces where critical and reflective thinking can be developed. These are some of the main reasons that justify the need to understand how the teaching process happens in Ethics, Bioethics and Deontology education in courses of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences in Rio Grande do Sul, which is the objective of this research. Based on a descriptive, exploratory, cross-sectional study, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, seven articles were produced: four documental analyses, two integrative reviews and, finally, an analysis of the discourse of the collective subject, with the direct participation of 13 professors who teach Ethics and Bioethics. Indirectly, 148 students who attended the 2019 National Assessment of Student Achievement and the Federal Councils in the area of Health, responsible for the ethical assumptions addressed during the course, participated in the study. The following research findings were analyzed regarding the education of Speech-Language Pathologists in Ethics in Rio Grande do Sul: deontological interrelation and difficulties to have access to this kind of information; absence and/or little workload for subjects related to the topic, with impact on students’ opinion regarding ethical education; little scientific production and immersion in professors’ area; professors who are not speech-language pathologists; interdisciplinarity and transversality as necessary theoretical-methodological parameters; need to break with the traditional applied teaching model; use of active methodologies; identification of both similarities and differences of teaching models in Health-related courses; lexical analysis of all Health-related Codes of Ethics and Professional Conduct, which indicated fragility of the deontological approach; profile of Speech-Language Pathology students in Rio Grande do Sul; and, finally, an insight regarding ethical and civic education.
