Abstract:
Programa de Doctorado en Lenguas y Culturas por la Universidad de Córdoba; la Universidad de Extremadura; la Universidad de Huelva y la Universidad de Jaén ; Esta tesis doctoral presenta dos elementos relacionados: un vocabulario que contiene todos los escritos sobre los signos de puntuación publicados por la Real Academia Española en sus obras ortográficas y lexicográficas a lo largo de sus trescientos años de historia y los textos doctrinales sobre la materia realizados por una cincuentena de autores no académicos; y, en segundo lugar, un estudio historiográfico sobre la regulación de los signos ortográficos en las obras normativas de la Real Academia Española desde 1726, año de publicación del «Discurso proemial de la orthographía de la lengua castellana» (1726), hasta 2014, en que aparece la 23.a edición del Diccionario de la lengua española. El fin principal del estudio diacrónico y del VOCABULARIO es contribuir al conocimiento de la doctrina y la regulación de los signos ortográficos realizada por la RAE. En conclusión, la tesis analiza la construcción de una parte fundamental de la tradición ortográfica de la Real Academia. La Ortografía de la lengua española de 2010 recoge y modifica esa tradición y al mismo tiempo la transforma con la ayuda de las nuevas corrientes de la lingüística. Aunque este estudio no se adentra en un análisis específicamente sincrónico de la última Ortografía, se comparan sus propuestas con las de la tradición con el fin de mostrar y valorar el punto de partida y de llegada de la codificación de la puntuación en español. ; This doctoral thesis presents two closely related elements: a vocabulary that contains all the writings on punctuation marks published by the Real Academia Española in its orthographic and lexicographical works throughout its three hundred years of history, and the doctrinal texts on the subject carried out by about fifty non-academic authors; and, secondly, a historiographical study on the regulation of orthographic signs in the normative works of the Real Academia Española from 1726, year of publication of the Discurso proemial de la orthographía de la lengua castellana (1726), until 2014, in which the 23rd edition of the Diccionario de la lengua española appears. The main purpose of the diachronic and VOCABULARIO study is to contribute to the knowledge of the doctrine and the regulation of the orthographic signs made by the RAE. In summary, this thesis analyzes the construction of a fundamental part of the orthographic tradition of the Real Academia. The 2010 Ortografía de la lengua española collects and modifies that tradition and at the same time transforms it with the help of new trends in linguistics. Although this study does not delve into a specifically synchronous analysis of the latest Ortografía, its proposals are compared with those of the tradition in order to show and assess the starting and finishing point of the coding of punctuation in Spanish.
