Abstract:
In this article we analyze four works of Luisa Josefina Hernández (1928) from three female contexts of mid-twentieth century Mexico: the confrontation between work and family life, changes in gender roles based on economic income, and the reorganization or stagnation of authority in marriage. Here we examine how these transformations impacted the author’s critical reflection, who pointed out the devastating effect of some destructive behaviors, generationally repeated, and rescued the attitudes of those who acquired, although based on mistakes, the ability to break old paradigms. ; En este artículo analizamos cuatro obras de Luisa Josefina Hernández (1928) a partir de tres contextos femeninos del México de mitades del siglo xx: el enfrentamiento entre la vida laboral y familiar, las modificaciones en los roles de género a partir del ingreso económico y la reorganización o anquilosamiento de la autoridad en el matrimonio. Aquí se examina cómo dichas transformaciones impactan en la reflexión crítica de la autora, quien señala el efecto devastador de algunas conductas autodestructivas, repetidas generacionalmente, y rescata las actitudes de quienes adquirieron, aunque a base de equivocaciones, la capacidad para romper viejos paradigmas.
