Menschen, die länger als 15 Jahre in Österreich leben, sind nicht von der Integrationsvereinbarung betroffen, die erstmals verpflichtende Deutschkurse beinhaltet. Das bestehende Deutschlernangebot ist hauptsächlich in Präsenzeinheiten zu finden. Kann E-Learning eine sinnvolle Möglichkeit sein, Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund Deutsch zu lehren? Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Frage nach dem Integrationspotential von E-Learning für Menschen mit Migrationshintergrund. Neben dem theoretischen Teil, in dem die grundlegenden Theorien (Kommunikation, Migration, Lernen, Spracherwerb, E-Learning) vorgestellt werden, wird der aktuelle Forschungsstand im Hinblick auf lebenslanges Lernen, Herausforderungen der Wissensgesellschaft, Deutschkurse in Österreich diskutiert, sowie die aktuelle Integrationslage in Österreich beleuchtet. Mit qualitativen Interviews nach Mayring wurden MigrantInnen aus dem Raum des ehemaligen Jugoslawiens zu Ihren Erfahrungen und Einstellungen zu Deutschkursen und zur Möglichkeit von E-Learning befragt. In einem Polaritätsprofil wurde die Einstellung zu einem möglichen E-Learning Design erhoben. Die Untersuchung ergibt, dass E-Learning eine sinnvolle Möglichkeit darstellt, um Deutsch zu lernen, da es die Hauptanforderungen der MigrantInnen nach orts-und zeitunabhängigem Lernen erfüllt. Diese Arbeit kann eine Grundlage für die Entwicklung einer Deutsch E-Learning Plattform sein. ; Language is the key to integration. People who live in Austria for more than 15 years are not affected by the integration agreement, which includes mandatory German language courses for the first time. The current German language courses are mainly class room trainings. Can e-learning be a useful way for people with a migration background to learn German? This paper deals with the question of the integration potential of e-learning for people with a migration background. In addition to the theoretical part, in which basic theories (communication, migration, learning, language acquisition, e-learning) are presented, the current state of research with regard to lifelong learning, challenges of the knowledge society and the status of German courses in Austria is discussed, as well as the current situation of integration in Austria. With qualitative interviews after Mayring, migrants from the area of former Yugoslavia were asked about their experiences and attitudes towards German courses and the opportunity of e-learning. In a polarity profile the attitude to a possible e-learning design was evaluated. The study shows that e-learning is a useful way to learn German as it meets the main needs of migrants to use learning strategies which are independent from time and place. This work can be a basis for the development of a German e-learning platform.
