El desafío lingüístico en los servicios públicos: el caso del lenguaje claro y la lectura fácil en contextos migratorios
Abstract: La llegada de población migrante a nuestro país incluye un número de desafíos de índole lingüístico y cultural. Es por ello que, desde las distintas administraciones públicas y organismos gubernamentales, se aúnan esfuerzos por ayudar a esta población a superar las posibles barreras que puedan llegar a dificultar una comunicación efectiva. El presente artículo analiza una guía de integración para población inmigrante en la Comunidad de Madrid y expone los resultados más destacados del análisis llevado a cabo en cuanto a comprensión y claridad de la misma. Para ello, la primera sección aborda un repaso del marco contextual del trabajo. Seguidamente, se presenta el análisis y la propuesta de simplificación de la mencionada guía, y donde se procederá a una revisión de diversos aspectos lingüísticos. Los resultados obtenidos indican que, aunque los esfuerzos son enormes por parte de las administraciones públicas a la hora de proporcionar recursos adaptados a la población migrante, los textos destinados a esta población requieren un proceso de adaptación a sus necesidades. ; Recent migratory flow patterns in our country involves several linguistic and cultural challenges. In this line, the different public administrations join efforts to help migrants to overcome the possible barriers that may hinder effective communication. This article examines a guide designed to explain public services resources to immigrants in the region of Madrid, and describes the main findings of a linguistic analysis carried out to evaluate the degree of comprehensibility and clarity. The first part of the article focuses on the theoretical framework of the study. The following section gives details of the methodology and the linguistic simplified version. The results show that public administrations make an enormous effort to provide linguistic resources adapted to migrant population. However, textual material needs to be adapted to the specific needs of this population.
