The above reasons have triggered this research with the aim of collecting data, which will help in a more effective implementation of specific educational procedures in the course of German language as a foreign language. In particular, the aim of the present study is, on the one hand, to examine the role of teacher questions from a functional-pragmatic and didactic point of view in the classroom discourse and, on the other, to determine the type of relationship between these questions and the teaching methods applied.
