Nous abordons la reformulation via les enregistrements en temps réel de l’écriture qui donnent accès à des reformulations réalisées au fil de la rédaction et qui ne laissent aucune trace sur les textes finalisés. Nous distinguons les reformulations remontant dans le texte pour se substituer ou s’ajouter à tout ou partie d’un segment de texte produit antérieurement et celles réalisées dans l’immédiateté du processus de rédaction. On constate (i) que le travail d’ajustement textuel impliquant ces reformulations est contraint par des schémas formels préconstruits ; (ii) que la compétence pragmatique des scripteurs est indissociable des autres compétences linguistiques et (iii) qu’évaluer l’équivalence entre les séquences reformulées s’inscrit dans le projet global de textualisation, au niveau de macro-séquences d’enchaînement textuel. ; In this article, we are interested in paraphrastic reformulation during writing. We investigate reformulation through keylogged data which give access to reformulations realized during writing, but which does not leave any trace on the finalized texts. We distinguish between reformulations which operate on previously produced segments of text and those which are realized in the immediacy of the writing process, i.e. on the segment of text just produced. We show (i) that the adjustment of the text through reformulation is constrained by pre-constructed formal schemas; (ii) that writers’ pragmatic competence cannot be dissociated from their other linguistic skills and (iii) that assessing equivalence between the reformulated sequences is part of the overall writing project, at the level of macro-sequences of discourse patterns.
