A Prática de Oralidade no Ensino-aprendizagem de Língua Portuguesa no 3º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e Ensino Secundário na Guiné-Bissau

Abstract:
A linguagem oral tem sido fundamental ao longo dos séculos para a transmissão de conhecimentos. O presente trabalho pretende abordar a forma como é encarada a prática de oralidade no ensino de língua portuguesa na Guiné-Bissau, uma vez que é reconhecida a complexidade e dificuldade de os alunos guineenses se exprimirem por meio dessa língua. Essa situação leva os alunos, muitas vezes, a recusarem-se a falar. Portanto, neste estudo, tentamos encontrar o que deve ser feito para que haja um desenvolvimento da competência do oral em PLNM e para que a prática de oralidade em língua portuguesa seja vista como algo normal e fundamental para o sistema educativo guineense. Para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho apresentamos várias teorias da aprendizagem de L2/LE que achamos serem importantes para o contexto guineense e que podem facilitar a aquisição e aprendizagem de uma L2/LE por meio de oralidade, principalmente no 3º Ciclo do ensino Básico e Ensino Secundário. Também realizamos uma pesquisa, através de questionários, que envolveu 20 professores pertencentes a cada um dos principais Liceus do Sul, Leste, Norte e algumas escolas de Bissau. No decorrer da investigação, pudemos perceber que a competência oral em Língua Portuguesa é imperativa para um bom desempenho do aluno em todas as disciplinas e pode permitir que haja mais interação oral na sala de aula e não só; também constatamos que o fraco domínio da LP está entre as várias razões do baixo aproveitamento escolar dos alunos guineenses, pois praticamente todo o ensino ocorre nessa língua. Levando em conta as estratégias a utilizar para ajudar os alunos a ultrapassar dificuldades que têm a ver com a produção oral em LP, este trabalho baseia-se no princípio de que é preciso que o aprendente sinta o desejo de se transformar num falante para comunicar. Pretende-se também com este trabalho achar formas de estimular os alunos a ultrapassar os seus medos, complexos e insegurança neste processo de aquisição da proficiência da L2/LE e orientar os professores a uma reflexão sobre o seu desempenho na sala de aula em relação à execução de atividades direcionadas à produção do discurso oral. ; Oral language has been fundamental throughout centuries for the transmission of knowledge. The present work shows how speaking tasks are seen in the Portuguese language teaching in Guinea-Bissau, since Bissau Guinean students struggle with difficulties as far as oral expression is concerned. This situation leads to students refusing to speak in the classroom. Hence, in this study, we try to find what must be done for an oral competence development in PSL (Portuguese as a Second Language) so that oral practice of the Portuguese language may be seen as something normal and important for the Guinean education system. For the development of this research we refer different L2/FL learning theories which we find fundamental for the Guinean context and that facilitate the acquisition and learning of an L2/FL by means of oral practice, mainly in the secondary levels. We have also conducted a study through questionnaires involving 20 teachers from secondary schools from all around the country. In the study, we concluded that the oral competence in the Portuguese language is fundamental for a good student performance in all school subjects and may inspire a higher degree of participation in the classroom. Besides that, we have also concluded that a weak competence in Portuguese language is among one of the main reasons for school failure. Taking into account the strategies being used in order to help students overcome their oral production difficulties in Portuguese, this dissertation is based on the principle that the learner must feel the desire to transform him or herself into a speaker who aims at communicating. Similarly, this study seeks to find ways to stimulate students on overcoming their fears, inhibitions and insecurities in the SL/FL acquisition process and direct teachers on a reflection of their classroom performance in relation to the oral discourse and production-oriented tasks. ; Fundação Calouste Gulenkian
