Abstract:
Bundles with numbers hru_1251_001 to hru_1251_008 are children's stories. The recording hru_1251_009 is a historical narrative. These are narrated by Sang Dorjee Sidisow, a prominent leader of the Sidisow clan. He is seen narrating the stories to three young people of Thrizino town. As compared to the mythological narratives or oral history, these stories are much simpler in style and language and can be easily understood by all age groups that speak Hrusso Aka. Video: Recorded with Canon XA20, settings - Auto. Audio: The recordings were made on the terrace of Mr. Sidisow's house in fairly quiet town surroundings. Micropones: Audio Technica 803B lavalier omnidirectional condenser microphones - 2, one for each stereo channel, both attached to the speaker's collar. Audio recorded directly on Canon XA20 video camera using XLR inputs and extracted later using Any Video Coverter software. Recording Specs: Sample rate 48000 Hz, 32 bit. ; Born in Karnataka, India. Working in Northeast India since 1999. Involved with Hrusso Aka orthography development and language support since 1999. Currently doing PhD in linguistics at University of Oxford, UK. Thesis: A Grammar of Hrusso Aka. ; Father's name: Lt. Medi Sidisow. Mother's name: Subai (nēe Degio) Born in Dijangania, now resident in Thrizino. Married to Rufom Sidisow, with whom he has 3 sons (the eldest of whom is called Aman) and 3 daughters. ; Son of Amita and Lupa Sangcho. Grandson of Bichi Sangcho. Miji by birth, but born and brought up at Thrizino. Grew up speaking Arunachali Hindi as the first language. Vrey fluent in English. Semi-fluent in Hrusso Aka. ; Daughter of Hema and Jope Delusow. ; Miji by birth, but born and brought up in Thrizino, speaking Hrusso as Mother tongue. Mother is Hrusso; Father is Miji, but bilingual in Miji and Aka.
