Abstract:
Aquest article investiga el paper dels mitjans de comunicació escrits catalans en la implantació de la normativa ortogràfica arran de la publicació de la proposta d’Ortografia catalana (OIEC) per part de la Secció Filològica de l’Institut d’Estudis Catalans (IEC) l’any 2016. L’objectiu de l’estudi és descriure la reacció — tant positiva com negativa— de la comunitat lingüística als mitjans de comunicació de massa i comparar-la amb altres reformes dutes a terme i amb altres comunitats lingüístiques per analitzar què hi ha darrere dels canvis. Aquest estudi també pretén fer una reflexió sobre l’autoritat de les acadèmies de la llengua.Paraules clau: ortografia, autoritat lingüística, ideologia, acadèmia de la llengua, lleialtat lingüística, mitjans de comunicació de massa, català. ; This article investigates the role of the Catalan print media in the implementation of the spelling reform after the publication of Ortografia catalana (OIEC) by the Philological Section of the Institute for Catalan Studies (IEC) in 2016. The aim of this study is to describe the responses – both positive and negative – of the language community in the mass media and to compare this proposal to other reforms which have been previously undertaken and to reforms in other language communities, in order to analyse what lies behind the changes involved.
