Schulen als Spiegelbild der Gesellschaft bilden nicht nur gesellschaftliche Realitäten ab, sondern sozialisieren in diese Realitäten hinein. Auch wenn groß angelegte Wirkungsstudien von Schulbüchern immer noch auf sich warten lassen, liegt die Annahme zugrunde, dass diese nicht spurlos an den Schüler*innen vorüber gehen. Hierbei wird untersucht, welche Konstruktionen von Geschlecht auffindbar sind und wie sich diese in Texten von Religionsschulbüchern der Berufsschule und BHS am Beispiel von Kapiteln zum Thema ,Frau und Mannʻ manifestieren. Die Analyse geht dabei über die übliche Diskussion von geschlechtergerechtem Sprachgebrauch hinaus und untersucht anhand der Methodik der Linguistischen Schulbuchanalyse die textlichen Tiefenstrukturen, wie sich dieses Abbilden und Entwerfen sozialer Realitäten im Schulbuch auf textlicher Ebene vollzieht. Die gewonnenen Ergebnisse dienen wiederum als Basis für Leitlinien im Umgang mit Religionsschulbüchern anhand der Kriterien eines gendergerechten und gendersensiblen Religionsunterrichts, der sich in einer pluralen und demokratisch verfassten Gesellschaft verortet sieht und sich als transformativ bzw. religiös transformativ verstanden weiß. ; The following textbook analysis is located in the tradition of textbook research as it has developed since the early 1950, focusing on gender constructions, still being a desideratum in religious education research. Schools as a mirror of society do not only reflect societal realities but rather socialise in these given and drafted realities itself. Although studies examining the effects of textbooks on students are still absent, there is an assumption that a certain effect on students‘ mind-set can be taken for granted. The analysis examines thereby which gender construction can be observed and in what way they are constructed on a textual level in chapters focusing the subject of ‘women and men’ in Austrian textbooks of secondary schools (BHS) and vocational school. In this way, it transcends the traditional discussion of gender faire language and uses the methodology of the linguistic textbook analysis for an examination of textual structures in which this mirroring and construction of societal realities in school books take place. Taking these results as a basis, guidelines concerning the use of religious education textbooks shall be developed by taking criteria of a gender faire and gender sensible religious education class, which locates itself in a plural and democratic society and a transformative and religious transformative way.
