Abstract:
What is style? In contrast to the consciously aesthetic selection of linguistic it means the normal situation-related use of language in everyday life. The situation-related and role-specific characteristics of language use are determined by the conventional and functional, i.e. the situation-adequate register of the text or conversation and by the group-specific language variety of its speakers, it depends on the intended effect of the respective person or role. - In normative consideration of the theory of style, style means the harmonization of all parts within the whole of a text, the correspondence of content, claim and form (rhythm, sound, image, etc.), the uniform, coherent, linguistic representation and expression, through successful execution of the styles (genera dicendi). - Only here it is a matter of traditional aesthetic or rhetorical stylistic devices. These means of intended linguistic effect, developed through all literary epochs of world literature, are also called 'rhetorical means of expression' or 'stylistic forms'. We choose only those of European literature, and among these primarily those of German literature. But beware: the classifications used today in German literature and everyday language may differ considerably from those used in other European literatures due to linguistic or genre-related conditions ; ¿Qué significa "estilo"? En contraste con la selección conscientemente estética de los medios lingüísticos está el uso normal del lenguaje en la vida cotidiana. Las características del uso del idioma relacionadas con la situación y la función vienen determinadas por el registro convencional y funcional, es decir, el registro adecuado a la situación del texto o la conversación y por la variedad lingüística específica del grupo de sus hablantes, y depende del efecto que se pretende obtener de la persona o del papel respectivo. - En la consideración normativa de la teoría del estilo, el estilo significa la armonización de todas las partes dentro del conjunto de un texto, la correspondencia del contenido, la reivindicación y la forma (ritmo, sonido, imagen, etc.), la representación y la expresión uniforme, coherente y lingüística, mediante la ejecución exitosa de los estilos (genera dicendi). - Sólo en este caso se trata de una cuestión de estética tradicional o de dispositivos estilísticos retóricos. Estos medios de efecto lingüístico previsto, desarrollados a través de todas las épocas literarias de la literatura universal, se designan también como medios de expresión retórica o formas estilísticas. Aquí sólo trataremos los de la literatura europea, y entre éstos principalmente los de la literatura de habla alemana. Pero cuidado: las clasificaciones utilizadas en la literatura alemana y en el lenguaje corriente actuales pueden diferir considerablemente de las utilizadas en otras literaturas europeas debido a condiciones lingüísticas o relacionadas con el género ; Was ist eigentlich Stil? Im Gegensatz zur bewusst ästhetischen Auswahl der sprachlichen Mittel steht der normale situationsbedingte Sprachgebrauch des Alltags. Die situationsbedingten und rollenspezifischen Ausprägungen des Sprachgebrauchs werden das konventionelle und funktionale, also das situationsadäquate Register des Textes oder Gespräches und durch die gruppenspezifische Sprachvarietät seiner Sprecher bestimmt, hängt von der intendierten Wirkung der jeweiligen Person oder ihrer Rolle ab. - In normativer Betrachtung der Stillehre, meint Stil das Harmonisieren aller Teile innerhalb des Ganzen eines Textes, die Entsprechung von Inhalt, Anspruch und Formgebung (Rhythmus, Klang, Bild, etc.), die einheitliche, in sich stimmige, sprachliche Darstellungs- und Ausdrucksweise, durch gelungene Ausführung der Stilarten (genera dicendi). - Hier allein geht es um traditionelle ästhetische bzw. rhetorische Stilmittel. Diese durch alle Literaturepochen der Weltliteratur hin entwickelten Mittel der intendierten Sprachwirkung werden auch rhetorische Ausdrucksmittel oder Stilformen genannt. Wir wählen davon nur die der europäischen Literatur, und unter dieser vornehmlich die der deutschsprachigen. Doch Vorsicht: Die heute in der deutschen Literatur und Alltagssprache verwendeten Klassifizierungen können von denen in anderen europäischen Literaturen aufgrund sprachlicher oder gattungsbedingter Voraussetzungen teilweise erheblich abweichen
