(Autorenreferat) ; "The essay illustrates that the German 60s' generations, most specifically the 68'ers, have defined themselves on a fundamental myth of initiation, inspired by the assassination of Benno Ohnesorg, which is remembered in the pieta-like photo of his death, and the attempted assassination of Rudi Dutschke, icon of the student rebellion and leader of the SDS in his famous homemade striped pullover - making both of them martyrs of the movement.
