Abstract:
The Study attempts to Shed light on linguistic Stylistics Analysis of lexical and Grammatical Categories of Chinua Achebe’s novel (Arrow of God). It aims to highlight the techniques of using lexical and Grammatical Categories in the novel. The researchers have adopted analytical checklist to explore lexical and Grammatical Categories in the functional linguistic field. These lexical and grammatical features have been used as primary tools for data collection. The sample composed of hundred words and two hundred and fifty of different sentences types that have been used in the context so as to analyze Achebe’s style. The finding revealed that studying linguistic stylistic alone cannot be satisfied to understand the novel, rather identifies significant linguistic features that mostly contributes in interpreting the novel. The study recommended that researchers should use linguistic features for interpreting and tackling their literary works ...
