Abstract:
Neostasina gunboat sp. nov. Figs 68−71, Map 5 Type material: Holotype: ♂, Jamaica, Kingston Parish, Gunboat Beach [17°56’N, 76°45’W], 19 November 1963, A.M. Chickering leg. (MCZ 69738). Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality. Diagnosis. Males of N. gunboat sp. nov. resemble those of N. bryantae sp. nov. and N. maroon sp. nov. (Figs 42, 115) in the bifid vRTA (Fig. 70). They are distinguished from both species by the embolus with two subsequent dorsal keels (Figs 69, 71) (absent in N. bryantae sp. nov. and single in N. maroon sp. nov. ). Females are unknown. Description. Male: Prosoma brown, slightly darker at eye area, with thin dark brown lines along thoracic striae, lateral margins of cephalic region and extending posteriorly from PME. Fovea dark brown. Eye borders black. Chelicerae brown with dark brown longitudinal stripe. Legs and pedipalps brown. Leg tarsi darker. Sternum yellow with brown margins.
