Abstract:
Neostasina baoruco sp. nov. Figs 23−25, Map 2 Type material: Holotype: ♀, Dominican Republic, Pedernales, Rabo de Gato Lagoon, Parque Nacional da Serra de Baoruco [18°07’N, 71°25°W], 4 July 2012, Team CarBio leg. (NMNH). Paratypes: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: 2♀, Pedernales, Rabo de Gato, Saton de Baoruco, 3 July 2012, Team CarBio leg. (NMNH). Etymology. The specific name is a noun and refers to the type locality. Diagnosis. Females of N. baoruco sp. nov. are distinguished from those of the other species of the genus by the median septum triangular (Fig. 23) and by the spermathecae inverted U-shaped, with outer lateral margin with indentations (Figs 24−25). Males are unknown. Description. Female (NMNH, holotype): Prosoma yellow with brown margins, dark brown fovea and dark brown lines extending posteriorly from between PME and PLE and concentrically from fovea on thoracic region. Chelicerae orange. Legs and pedipalps orange. Leg tibiae with few black spots.
