The collaborative Yucatec Maya corpus Cocoyum: A model corpus architecture for indigenous language corpus collections
Abstract:
We argue for the necessity of easily accessible, searchable, re-usable and flexible corpus collections for indigenous languages with combined efforts from speakers and researchers. Cocoyum (CCY), a collaborative, cooperative corpus collection of Yucatec Maya, showcases a way to create a holistic, flexible corpus architecture for all types of indigenous language data. ; 74447.pdf
