Abstract: Deafness is a disorder that can affect people of all ages for a variety of reasons. The different types of hearing impairment occur according to the degree of hearing difficulties, and the deficiency can be treated and diagnosed in time if help is sought soon after perceiving some difficulty in the auditory aspects. As the years have passed, the way of seeing and treating the deaf has changed, however, there are still many difficulties. Trying to help in this difficulty is the interpreter whose role is to help teachers interpret information for the hearing impaired by the educator, só some tools can be used, such as the Brazilian Sign Language. This study aimed to study the deaf, the interpreters and the difficulties encountered by them, the tools that can be used by the interpreter in the communication with the deaf, and the role of the school in the relation between interpreter and deaf student and was developed through research bibliographical, through, readings, article analysis, pedagogical journals, course completion papers, federal government documents and websites. With this research it was observed that the role of the interpreter interlarding processor fthe hearing paired individual is extremely important, because it is through the interpreter that the hearing impaired will have greater access and better compression of the world in which he lives and surrounding them. ; Surdez é um distúrbio que pode acometer pessoas de todas as idades, por diversos motivos. Os diferentes tipos de deficiências auditivas acontecem de acordo com o grau de dificuldades de audição, sendo que, a deficiência pode ser tratada e diagnosticada a tempo, se procurada ajuda logo após perceber alguma dificuldade nos aspectos auditivos. Com o passar dos anos mudou-se a forma de ver e tratar os surdos, entretanto, ainda existe muitas dificuldades. Tentando auxiliar nessa dificuldade, tem-se existe o intérprete, que tem como papel, auxiliar os professores interpretando, para os deficientes auditivos, as informações repassadas pelo educado para isso algumas ferramentas podem ser utilizadas como, por exemplo, a Língua brasileira de sinais. Este estudo teve como objetivo estudar os surdos, os intérpretes e as dificuldades encontradas pelos mesmos, as ferramentas que podem ser utilizadas pelo intérprete na comunicação com o surdo, e o papel da escola na relação intérprete e aluno surdo e foi desenvolvido por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, mediante leituras, análise de artigos, revistas pedagógicas, trabalhos de conclusão de curso, documentos do governo federal e sites. Com esta pesquisa observou-se que é de extrema importância o papel do intérprete no processo de ensino e de aprendizagem do indivíduo deficiente auditivo, pois, é através do o intérprete que o possibilita ao deficiente auditivo, terá um maior acesso e uma melhor compressão do mundo em que vive e das informações que o rodeiam.
