Abstract:
Esta pesquisa em Poéticas Visuais aborda um conhecimento engendrado em minha prática artística a partir do encontro com interstícios da vida urbana, em situações de espera e deslocamento. Trata-se da imagem-experiência, uma imagem portadora de experiência, investida por suas marcas, originada em um gesto de colocar-se em disponibilidade perceptiva. A sua instauração em espaços expositivos marcados por características arquitetônicas e cotidianas singulares motivou a reflexão sobre uma ativação mútua entre o trabalho e seu local de inscrição, proporcionando o entendimento da presentificação como uma atualização da imagem-experiência. Ao longo da tese, os processos e ações são apresentados de forma narrativa, trazendo ao leitor as situações que ancoram os conceitos da pesquisa, contextualizando seus aspectos característicos em articulação com obras de outros artistas e teóricos. Para o desenvolvimento de uma reflexão em torno do conceito operado pela imagem-experiência na vida cotidiana, são trazidos os trabalhos de alguns artistas contemporâneos brasileiros como Rochelle Costi e Marcos Chaves, que ocorrem em torno da espera e do deslocamento, assim como 13 do albanês Anri Sala e da belga Chantal Akerman (1950- 2015). As proposições de Rochelle Costi e de Anri Sala para algumas instituições culturais também operam importantes contribuições para a ideia de presentificação abordada nesta pesquisa. Os estudos de Henri Lefebvre (1901-1991) no que se refere à fragmentação da vida cotidiana em esferas distintas são fundamentais para refletir, investigar e aprofundar as implicações deste exercício poético que nasce do mundano, de situações de encontro entre brechas na vida que corre. A proposição de uma presentificação da imagem-experiência traz uma perspectiva de relação entre os termos instalação, site-specific e a formulação dialética site e nonsite, de Robert Smithson (1938-1973), e também entre conceitos como habitar, de Martin Heidegger (1889-1976), a concepção japonesa Ma, de uma zona intervalar, e a prática de um laboratório no espaço expositivo. ; This research in Visual Poetics approaches a knowledge engendered in my artistic practice concerning the encounter with urban life interstices in situations of waiting and displacement. It is the image-experience, an image that carries experience, invested by its marking, originated in a gesture of perceptual readiness. Its establishment in exhibition spaces featured by singular architectural and everyday life characteristics motivated the reflection of a mutual activation between the work and its registration place, providing an understanding of the presentification as an update of image experience. Throughout the thesis, the processes and actions are presented in a narrative manner, bringing to the reader the situations that anchor the concepts, contextualizing their characteristic aspects in conjunction with the works of other artists and theorists. For the development of a reflection around the concept operated by the image-experience in everyday life, the work of some brazilian contemporary artists, such as Rochelle Costi and Marcos Chaves, which occurs in waiting and displacement situations, are brought up as well as the images of the Albanian Anri Sala and the Belgian Chantal Akerman (1950- 15 2015). Rochelle Costi’s and Anri Sala’s propositions for some cultural institutions also make important contributions to the idea of presentification approached in this research. The studies of Henri Lefebvre (1901-1991) regarding the fragmentation of daily life in different spheres are fundamental to reflect, investigate and deepen the implications of this poetic exercise that arises from the mundane, from situations of encounter between gaps as life goes on. The proposition of an image-experience presentification brings a relationship perspective between the terms installation, site-specific and the dialectical formulation site and nonsite, by Robert Smithson (1938-1973), and also between concepts like inhabiting, by Martin Heidegger (1889- 1976), the Japanese concept of Ma, of an interval zone, and the practice of a laboratory in the exhibition space.
