Abstract:
Summary. The purpose of this study is to analyze the information content of the parish chronicle, highlighting the main thematic parts. Research methodology is based on the use of analytical and synthetic critique of the sources. To establish the objectivity of the information, it was verified with the original texts of the documents mentioned in the chronicle. The scientific novelty is seen in the introduction into circulation of certain fragments of the chronicle, which helps to shed light on some aspects of everyday life of the peasantry. Conclusions. The parish chronicle of the Dorozhiv parish is a unique documentary monument of the 1930’s which reflects both historical and geographical, ethnographic and linguistic materials. The combination of both oral material and written local history sources allows us to discover some aspects of everyday life of the parish people of Dorozhiv: folk beliefs, customs, songs, proverbs, type of farming, features of clothing and nutrition. The recorded local lore materials help to determine what factors contributed to the development or decline of the settlement. It was found that the initiated parish chronicle did not develop for a long time, as the arrival of Soviet power (September 1939) and its final establishment (August 1944) stopped the process of compiling further descriptions, and began the persecution of nationally conscious Ukrainian patriots and the elimination of cultural educational institutions. The Soviet administration tried to control the compilation of church documents by issuing death certificates to fellow villagers by the Dorozhiv village council, which were to serve as a basis for the pastor to make entries in the metric books of deceased parishioners. From the middle of the XX century executive bodies of the village councils began to take over from the parish chancellery the authority to compile civil registers (of births, marriages and deaths) and issue state-standard documents (instead of church metrics birth, marriage, and death certificates were introduced). ; Анотація. Мета дослідження – проаналізувати інформаційний зміст парафіяльного літопису, виокремивши основні тематичні частини. Методологія дослідження базується на використанні аналітичної та синтетичної критики джерел. Для встановлення об’єктивності інформації проведено її верифікацію із оригіналами текстів документів, які згадуються у літописі. Наукова новизна вбачається у запровадженні до широкого обігу окремих фрагментів літопису, які допомагають висвітлити деякі сторони повсякденного життя селянства. Висновки. Парафіяльний літопис дорожівської парафії є унікальною документальною пам’яткою 30-х рр. XX ст., в якій відображенні як історичні, так і географічні, етнографічні та мовознавчі матеріали. Поєднання як усних, речових, так і писемних краєзнавчих джерел дає змогу привідкрити окремі сторони буденного життя дорожівської парафіяльної людності: народні вірування, звичаї, пісні, прислів’я, тип господарювання, особливості одягу та харчування. Зафіксований краєзнавчий матеріал допомагає визначити, які фактори сприяли розвитку чи занепаду населеного пункту. З’ясовано, що започатковане парафіяльне літописання розвивалося нетривалий час, оскільки прихід радянської влади (вересень 1939 р.) та її остаточне утвердження (серпень 1944 р.) зупинив процес укладення подальших описів, а започаткував переслідування національно свідомих українських патріотів, ліквідацію культурно-освітніх установ. Радянська адміністрація намагалася контролювати укладення церковної документації шляхом видання довідок про смерть односельчан дорожівською сільською радою, які мали слугувати підставою для внесення парохом запису до метричних книг померлих парафіян. Із середини XX ст. виконавчі органи сільських рад починають переймати від парафіяльної канцелярії повноваження щодо укладення цивільних реєстрів (про народжених, одружених і померлих) та видачі документів державного зразка (замість церковних метрик запроваджуються державні свідоцтва про народження, шлюб, смерть).
