Особливу увагу приділено типологічному зв’язку полтавського арґо з іншими українськими субстандартними системами. Схарактеризовано основні фонетичні й номінативні особливості досліджуваного соціолекту, закцентовано на вирізнювальних дериваційних рисах полтавського лірницько-кобзарського арґо. ; The article deals with the unpublished data written by famous Ukrainian artist Porfyrii Martynovych in Poltava Region and North Sloboda Ukraine in the early twentieth century. These data account for the large argotic dictionary, thus complementing the existing research findings and defining more objective interaction between Ukrainian Argots, as well as other East Slavic secret languages. The aim of this study is to describe the blind musicians` sociolect in Poltava Region and to determine the specific features in comparison with other Ukrainian kobzar and lyrists` Argots. First of all, we pay special attention to typological aspects of the analyzed sociolect, having determined that it has much in common with other Ukrainian Argots, as evidenced both by a large number of similar and variant lexemes. The closest interaction is between this sociolect and sociolects of Sloboda Ukraine, which combined form a peculiar argotic group. Among the characteristic phonetic features of analyzed sociolect we have mentioned some vowel and consonant alternations, consistent reflex of yat, as well as consonant prothetic. Having studied carefully nominative features of Martynovych argotic dictionary, we have come to the conclusion that it’s based on the loan words adapted to local dialects at the phonetic and word formation level. The article gives a detailed analysis of Poltava Argot nominative characteristics. In that regard, we have focused on standard and substandard derivational features of analyzed sociolect. In our opinion, Poltava blind musicians have formed argotic words by adding a standard affix to the argotic or standard word root with their potential deformation or using specific argotic affixes with standard word root. Some group in analyzed sociolect represent argotic words without any objective hypothesis about its origin, and its further studying is a very promising area of East Slavic sociolectology that have yet to be fully explored.
