	Abstract: Посвящено проблеме развития речи и общения у детей с нарушением зрения, что является важным вопросом в тифлопедагогической науке. Анализ работ по данной теме позволил сделать выводы об особенностях протекания различных психических процессов у детей с нарушением зрения. Проведено констатирующее исследование по критериям «чувственные представления и понятия, используемые в речи», «общительность» в коммуникативных ситуациях. Выявлено распределение детей с нарушениями зрения по критериям владения речью и общения. Предложены методы и формы работы по изучению и повышению уровня владения коммуникативными средствами детьми с нарушениями зрения. ... : The article is devoted to visually impaired children and, in particular, to the development of their speech abilities and communication skills. The problem is in the scope of the pure and applied tyflopedagogy. The analysis of works allowed to draw the conclusions about the characteristics of various mental processes of visually impaired children. The ascertaining experiment was conducted, where the criteria of “sense notions and concepts used in speech” and “sociability” were used. The distribution of children with visual impairments according to the criteria of language proficiency and communication was revealed. The methods and forms of work to improve the speech abilities and communication skills of visually impaired children have been offered. ...
