Deaf Children Communicating in Sign Language in Inclusive Schooling

Abstract:
At the latest since the signing of the UN-Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by Germany and the demand for a school for all, deaf children, who are communicating in sign language, have also been supported in general schools. In this article, the framework of inclusion of deaf students currently practiced in Germany will be presented and the resulting consequences discussed.
