I present the key concepts from the chapter and position the model and mechanism in relation to the INDCOR problem space (included as an appendix). I conclude with a discussion comparing the Hermeneutic Spiral to two other hermeneutic models for (narrative) games: the Double Hermeneutic Circle and Hermeneutic Strip, emphasising the need for a three-dimensional metaphor to account for the deep systemic understanding that is the cognitive reduction of complexity.
