Abstract:
Este trabajo trata el fenómeno de la combinatoria de tiempos verbales en español, una de cuyas posibilidades es la consecutio temporum, si bien no la única. Existe consecutio cuando el tiempo del verbo subordinado está condicionado por el del verbo principal y no por el momento de la enunciación. A lo largo de los diversos apartados comprobamos en qué medida intervienen diversos factores en el fenómeno de la combinatoria de tiempos en español, a saber: el tiempo verbal, considerado de acuerdo con la distinción de esfera temporal de presente y de pasado, el modo y el aspecto. Asimismo, demostramos el papel fundamental que desempeñan las restricciones léxicas impuestas por la semántica del verbo principal. Desde esta perspectiva, se muestra que los significados de anterioridad, simultaneidad y posterioridad de los verbos subordinados con relación al verbo principal deben ser tratados según la esfera de presente o de pasado en que se sitúen. ; This paper deals with the phenomenon of the combination of tenses in Spanish, one of which is the consecutio temporum possibility, although not the only one. There is consecutio when the subordinate verb tense is determined by the main verb tense and not by the moment of speech. Throughout the various sections we show that the phenomenon of combination of tenses in Spanish involves several factors, namely: the tense, considered according to the distinction of temporal sphere of present and past, the mode, the aspect and the lexical restrictions imposed by the semantics of the main verb. We show that the anteriority, simultaneity and subsequently meanings of the subordinate verbs in relation to the main verb should be treated according to the sphere of present or past in which they fall.
