Abstract:
The main objective of this Master Thesis Work is to establish a didactic intervention proposal that supports the photographic essay as a classroom practice which promotes the development of critical thinking and connotation in 11th grade students. Certainly, the conjunction of argumentative written productions (essays) complemented and represented by various conscious visual elements (photographs) constitutes a great opportunity to cultivate processes of representation, significance and criticality in the classroom. In a structural way, the route proposed in the theoretical framework seeks a conceptual appropriation of the essential elements that theoretically make up this proposal, beginning with an approach from the Colombian educational legislation and emphasizing the formative guideline of consolidating, among others, communicative competence. The following sections seek to understand the connotation as an active exercise in the classroom and the image as a text possessing speech and meaning. Finally, the closure of this theoretical framework encourages the creation of photographic essays as contributing elements in the classroom that contribute widely in the development of critical thinking from argumentation and signification. Specifically, at this time of execution of the didactic proposal, the students of grade 11 of the Theodoro Hertzl School have not carried out the realization and socialization of the photographic essays of their authorship; however, a great disposition and high performance can be recognized in the deconstruction, analysis and decoding of discontinuous texts, those that link verbal and visual elements, particularly with a communicative intention typical of argumentative texts (images of social criticism, cartoons, comics, reports and photographic essays and images of graphic humor, among others). Undoubtedly, these findings are directly related to the experience of the Spanish Language and Literature classes as an extension of reality, context and thought and world view; a conscious use of the word, the experience and the image, intrinsic objectives of this proposal. ; El presente Trabajo Fin de Master tiene como objetivo principal establecer una propuesta didáctica de intervención que fundamente el ensayo fotográfico como una práctica de aula que promueve la connotación y el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico en los estudiantes de grado 11º. Ciertamente, la conjunción de las producciones escritas argumentativas (ensayos) complementadas y representadas por diversos elementos visuales conscientes (fotografías) constituye una gran oportunidad para cultivar en el aula procesos de representación, significación y criticidad. En un modo estructural, el recorrido propuesto en el marco teórico procura una apropiación conceptual de los elementos esenciales que conforman teóricamente esta propuesta, iniciando con un acercamiento desde la legislación educativa colombiana y enfatizando en la directriz formativa de consolidar, entre otras, la competencia comunicativa. Los apartados siguientes procuran el entendimiento de la connotación como un ejercicio activo en el aula y la imagen como un texto poseedor de discurso y significado. Finalmente, el cierre del marco teórico fomenta la creación de los ensayos fotográficos como elementos aportantes en el aula que contribuyen ampliamente en el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico desde la argumentación y la significatividad. Específicamente, en este momento de ejecución de la propuesta didáctica, los estudiantes de grado 11º del Colegio Theodoro Hertzl no han llevado a cabo la realización y socialización de los ensayos fotográficos de su autoría; sin embargo, puede reconocerse una gran disposición y alto desempeño en la deconstrucción, análisis y decodificación de textos discontinuos, aquellos que vinculan elementos verbales y visuales, particularmente con una intención comunicativa propia de los textos argumentativos (imágenes de crítica social, caricaturas, comics, reportajes y ensayos fotográficos e imágenes de humor gráfico, entre otros). Sin lugar a dudas, estos hallazgos se relacionan directamente con la vivencia de las clases de Lengua Castellana y Literatura como una extensión de realidad, contexto y pensamiento y visión de mundo; un uso consciente de la palabra, la vivencia y la imagen, objetivos intrínsecos de esta propuesta.
