Abstract:
Esta tese aborda gêneros de textos como processos sociais constituintes de uma cultura (MARTIN; ROSE, 2008) e alicerça-se no marco teórico-metodológico da Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional (HALLIDAY, 1994; 2001; HALLIDAY; MATTHIESSEN, 2004; CAFFAREL; MARTIN; MATTHIESSEN, 2004) e da Teoria de Gênero e Registro (MARTIN, 1992a, 1997, 1999, 2007, 2009; MARTIN; ROSE, 2007; 2008; EGGINS, 2004; ROSE; MARTIN, 2012; MOYANO, 2015). O objetivo geral da pesquisa foi identificar e mapear os gêneros instanciados em textos da área de edificações para compreender como esta constrói semioticamente seu campo de conhecimento. O olhar investigativo centrou-se na identificação dos textos que constituem a formação teórica de um curso Técnico em Edificações Integrado ao Ensino Médio, no âmbito da Rede Federal de Educação. Analiticamente, identificou-se o propósito sociocomunicativo, a estrutura esquemática dos gêneros instanciados nos textos bem como padrões de organização e distribuição dos elementos do discurso por meio dos sistemas de IDEAÇÃO e de PERIODICIDADE. O sistema de IDEAÇÃO assinala as relações por meio das quais as atividades de um campo são desenvolvidas no nível semântico-discursivo, de um processo para o outro em uma série de orações e inter-relações taxonômicas e nucleares. Por sua vez, o sistema de PERIODICIDADE mostra como a informação flui por meio de ondas previsíveis e determinadas pela relação entre Tema/hiper-Tema/macro-Tema e Novo/hiper-Novo/macro-Novo (MARTIN, 1992a; MARTIN; ROSE, 2007). A identificação da estrutura esquemática permitiu desconstruir, distinguir e classificar os textos e mapeá-los tipologicamente, revelando que a área de edificações constrói semioticamente a realidade pela instanciação de macrogêneros formados por explicações condicionais, explicações sequenciais, relatórios classificativos e relatórios composicionais. O sistema de IDEAÇÃO revelou diferenças na disposição das cadeias léxicas entre os relatórios e as explicações, visto que nos relatórios fica mais evidente a organização em torno das relações todo – parte – co-parte e classe – co-classe e nas explicações as cadeias léxicas das taxonomias giram em torno da sinonímia, dos contrastes e da repetição. No que diz respeito ao sistema de PERIODICIDADE a regularidade dos padrões temáticos dos textos analisados formam o método de desenvolvimento do texto, cujas cadeias léxicas estão diretamente relacionados ao sistema de IDEAÇÃO, uma vez que onfiguram as relações taxonômicas que constroem o campo. A pesquisa contribui para as discussões acerca da teoria de Gênero e Registro e seu impacto na construção de um campo do conhecimento e na organização dos textos com vista à leitura e à escrita no contexto educacional. ; This thesis addresses text genres as social processes that constitute a culture (MARTIN; ROSE, 2008) and it is based on the theoretical-methodological framework of Systemic-Functional Linguistics (HALLIDAY, 1994; 2001; HALLIDAY; MATTHIESSEN, 2004; CAFFAREL; MARTIN ; MATTHIESSEN, 2004) and Genre and Register Theory (MARTIN, 1992a, 1997, 1999, 2007, 2009; MARTIN; ROSE, 2007; 2008; EGGINS, 2004; ROSE; MARTIN, 2012; MOYANO, 2015). The general objective of the research is to identify and map the genres instantiated in building texts to understand how it constructs its field of knowledge semiotically. The investigative approach focused on the identification of the texts that constitute the theoretical formation of a Technical Course in Buildings Integrated to High School, within the Federal Education Network. Analytically, we identified the socio-communicative purpose, the schematic structure of the genres instantiated in the texts as well as patterns of organization and distribution of the elements of speech through the IDEATION and PERIODICITY systems. The IDEATION system marks the relationships by which the activities of a field are developed at the semantic-discursive level, from one process to the other in a series of taxonomic and nuclear clauses and interrelationships. Whereas, the PERIODICITY system shows how information flows through predictable waves determined by the relationship between Theme / Hyper-Theme / Macro-Theme and New / Hyper-New / Macro-New (MARTIN; ROSE, 2007). The identification of the schematic structure allowed deconstructing, distinguishing and classifying the texts and mapping them typologically, revealing that the area of buildings semiotically constructs reality by instantiating macrogenres formed by conditional explanations, sequential explanations, classifying reports and compositional reports. The IDEATION system revealed differences in the arrangement of the lexical chains between the reports and the explanations, since in the reports the organization around all – part – co-part and class – co-class relations is more evident and in the explanations the lexical chains of taxonomies revolve around synonymy, contrasts and repetition. Regarding the PERIODICITY system, the regularity of the thematic patterns of the analyzed texts form the text development method, whose lexical chains are directly related to the IDEATION system, once they configure the taxonomic relations which build the field. The research contributes to discussions about Genre and Register theory and it impact on the construction of a field of knowledge and on the organization of texts for reading and writing in the educational context.
