Abstract: Το αν η Ειδική Γλωσσική Διαταραχή (ΕΓΔ) και η Αναπτυξιακή Δυσλεξία (ΑΔ) αποτελούν ή όχι διακριτές διαταραχές είναι ένα θέμα μεγάλης διαμάχης, καθώς η ΕΓΔ ως επί το πλείστον οφείλεται σε ελλείμματα στις μορφο-συντακτικές δεξιότητες και η ΑΔ σε ελλείμματα των δεξιοτήτων ανάγνωσης στο επίπεδο της λέξης και των φωνολογικών δεξιοτήτων που σχετίζονται με την ανάγνωση (φωνολογική κατάτμηση, ιδίως σε επίπεδο φωνήματος, φωνολογική βραχύχρονη μνήμη και ταχεία και ακριβής πρόσβαση λέξεων, που αξιολογείται από ένα έργο ταχείας κατονομασίας). Στην παρούσα διατριβή συγκρίναμε τις δεξιότητες ανάγνωσης στο επίπεδο της λέξης, τις φωνολογικές δεξιότητες που σχετίζονται με τις δεξιότητες ανάγνωσης καθώς και τις δεξιότητες προφορικής και γραπτής μορφο-σύνταξης γαλλόφωνων και ελληνόφωνων παιδιών με ΕΓΔ και με ΑΔ, με εκείνες των τυπικά αναπτυσσόμενων παιδιών της ίδιας χρονολογικής ηλικίας (ομάδα ελέγχου ΧΗ), καθώς και της ίδιας ηλικίας ανάγνωσης (ομάδα ελέγχου ΑΗ). Όσον αφορά στη σύγκριση μεταξύ των δύο κλινικών ομάδων, ... : Distinction and overlap between Specific Language Impairment (SLI) and Developmental Dyslexia (DD) is an issue of high controversy: SLI is mostly explained by deficits in morpho-syntactic skills, while DD by deficits in word-level reading skills and in phonological reading-related skills (phonological segmentation, especially at the phonemic level, phonological short-term memory plus rapid and precise access to words, assessed by a rapid serial naming task). In the present thesis we compared word-level reading skills, phonological reading-related skills plus oral and written morpho-syntactic skills of French and Greek speaking children with SLI and with DD to those of typically developing children of the same chronological age (CA controls) and of the same reading age (RA controls).
