Abstract:
Dans le cadre de la demande d’asile, il est attendu du requérant un récit cohérent et circonstancié. Ses dires devront être précis, ordonnés et factuels. Outre ces faits de préférence étayés par des documents probants, il sera attendu de manière informelle qu’il y ait une concordance entre le contenu du récit et la manière dont il est énoncé. Or les demandeurs d’asile ayant été torturés peuvent présenter des troubles du langage spécifiques (discours empêché, logorrhéique ou clivé) susceptibles de fausser l’analyse de leur demande, et de mettre à mal l’octroi du statut de réfugié par les instances compétentes. ; When applying for asylum, applicants are expected to provide a coherent and elaborate narrative. Their statements must be precise, orderly and factual. Besides these facts, which should be supported by convincing documents, there is an informal expectation of a concordance between the contents of the narrative and the way it is expressed. However, asylum seekers subjected to torture may present specific speech difficulties (inability to speak, logorrhea, split discourse) that interfere with the assessment of their request, and damage the chances that authorities will grant refugee status. ; En el marco de la solicitud de asilo se espera del solicitante un relato coherente y detallado. Sus declaraciones deben ser precisas, organizadas y factuales. Además, los hechos narrados deben apoyarse en documentos concluyentes y se espera, de una manera informal, que el contenido del relato concuerde con el modo en que se enuncia. Sin embargo, quienes solicitan asilo y han sido torturados en ocasiones pueden presentar trastornos del lenguaje específicos (impedimento total o parcial del discurso, logorrea), susceptibles de falsear el análisis de la solicitud e impedir el otorgamiento del estatus de refugiado por las instancias competentes.
