	Abstract: В статье представлена рецензия на коллективную монография, в которой сформулированы сходства и различия в представлении образа России в вузовских учебниках. ... : The article is a review of the collective monograph “The Image of Russia in International Educational Discourse: Linguocognitive and Linguodidactic Aspects”, written by a group of researchers from the Ural University. The importance of differentiating the concepts of “negative” and “distorted” image is emphasized. A critical analysis of the review of scientific literature on the problems of imagology is presented in the monograph. The interdiscipli-nary approach to research in the mainstream of imagology is realized through the use of general scientific and highly spe-cialized methods. The interpretation of the questionnaire results reveals differences in the vision of the Russian reality by Russian and foreign students. The analysis of the identified strategies for the presentation of the image of Russia in textbooks of Russian as a foreign language and in textbooks of English is supplemented with linguistic and methodological remarks.
