Spanish Literature in Mississippi: A Collection Analysis of Spanish and Spanish‐Bilingual Books in Mississippi Public Libraries
In: SLIS Connecting (2019)
Abstract: Mississippi, while it may be considered a rural area, contains cities along the Gulf of Mexico and other regions throughout the state that have a diverse population, which includes Hispanics. Libraries must be receptive to the communities they serve and must be aware of community demographics so that they may provide the necessary resources to accommodate them. The objective of this study is to analyze the availability of Spanish and Spanish bilingual literature.
