Abstract:
International audience ; Since the 1980s, certain media and the Académie française have been trying to disallow the various official measures taken over time to enhance gender neutrality in language practices. This article deals with these issues and analyzes, over this period, the arguments of those who reject the feminization of profession, function and title names, as well as the use of gender inclusive language. ; Depuis les années 1980, certains médias ainsi que l’Académie française s’efforcent de s’opposer aux différentes mesures officielles prises peu à peu pour renforcer le non-sexisme dans la pratique de la langue. Le présent article traite cette thématique et analyse, au fil de cette période, les argumentations des opposants à la féminisation des noms de métiers, de fonctions, de grades et de titres et à l’usage de l’écriture inclusive.
