Moreno Moreno, Jennifer. - : Universitat Jaume I, 2020
Abstract: Teball Final de Màster Universitari en Traducció Medicosanitària. ; The need to humanize scientific medicine and to offer patient-centred care has led to the emergence of a new type of narrative known as narrative medicine, which aims to complement conventional medicine by improving communication between health professionals and patients. This type of narrative includes stories written by health professionals, family members and patients, this last one being our object of study for the present Master dissertation. A corpora study written by patients with haematological diseases has been created in order to analyse the use of metaphors from a double linguistic and cultural perspective, where German and Spanish are the main languages, in order to define this type of narrative and to identify possible differences and similarities in both languages.
