Abstract:
The paper introduces an innovative framework for ELF (English as a Lingua Franca) teacher education. It responds to the emerging need for appropriately informing and sensitizing ESOL practitioners about ELF matters. It supports that ELF teacher education can gain enormously by implementing the rigorous, reflection-based transformative methodology of adult education theorist Jack Mezirow.
