|
Abstract:
Recordings of individual phrases and sentences for the analysis of stress in Kambaata ... : The recordings of session 2021-10-26 had the following aims: (i) Document the realization of stress and determine the maximal number of unstressed syllables following and preceding the stressed syllable in a word, (ii) compare the realization of stress under declarative and interrogative intonation, and (iii) examine the realization of stress of the same word forms in different syntactic contexts. The session proceeded as follows: 1. brainstorming and systematization of examples with the speaker, 2. arrangement of the examples in a random order (in preparation of the recording), 3. speaker reading the examples and confirming their well-formedness, 4. speaker pronouncing the examples for the record in 2 repetitions (cf. sound files). The recordings were made in a sound-proof booth, Campus CNRS, Villejuif, France. ...
