; This report aims to describe and analyse the internship experience developed over three months within the company SDL plc., in Oporto, as part of my master’s degree in Translation and Multilingual Communication. The first chapter explores the concept of Project Management, which is at the basis of any translation project and, as a consequence, the basis of all the work produced over the three months at SDL. Next, the concept of machine translation is introduced as an element of the translation workflow. Also, in the same chapter, the concept of post-editing is developed, which, based on the previous concept of machine translation, is the element with the greatest focus on the work. In the second chapter, a transition is made to the events that took place during the internship, where all the work developed during the internship period in the company is described. In the first part of this second chapter, a presentation is made of the training offered by the company, namely training related to the tools that were later used on a daily basis. Next, the workflow used at SDL is described, more specifically that of an employee as a translator. Finally, the third chapter seeks to analyse the work carried out, using data and statistics extracted throughout the internship and categorically organised in such a way as to allow for an analysis of them, particularly the volume of words translated and the evolution of the level of productivity.
