Abstract:
Die Beherrschung der sogenannten Bildungssprache gilt als wichtige Voraussetzung für schulischen Erfolg. Zwar werden bildungssprachlichen Kompetenzen in Bildungsforschung und Bildungspraxis eine große Bedeutung zugeschrieben, dennoch fehlt bislang eine Beschreibung derjenigen Aspekte von Sprache, die unter dem Begriff Bildungssprache zusammengefasst werden. Zugleich existieren noch keine validen Instrumente zur Erfassung von Kompetenzen im Umgang mit diesen sprachlichen Anforderungen. Vor diesem Hintergrund verfolgte das Projekt vor allem zwei Ziele: (1) Zum einen sollten bildungssprachliche Merkmale, von denen vermutet wird, dass sie eine zentrale Rolle im Bildungserfolg spielen und spezielle Hürden für Kinder mit unterschiedlichem familiären Hintergrund darstellen, identifiziert werden [1. Hierauf aufbauend wurde (2) zum anderen ein linguistisch und (sprach-)entwicklungspsychologisch fundiertes diagnostisches Testverfahren zur Erfassung bildungsbezogener sprachlicher Kompetenzen von Schülern ... : Mastery of the so-called academic language is an important prerequisite for success at school. Although academic language skills are ascribed great importance in educational research and practice, there is still no description of those aspects of language that are summarised under the term educational language. At the same time there are still no valid instruments for recording competences in dealing with these linguistic requirements. Against this background, the project pursued two main objectives: (1) Identification of academic language characteristics which are assumed to play a central role in educational success and at the same time to represent special barriers for children with different family backgrounds [1st funding phase].
