Dans ses récits de voyage, Nerval se montre attentif aux variations du français. On pense à une Allemande qui emploie des néologismes, à des descendants des réfugiés protestants qui conservent la langue du XVIIe siècle, ou à des Belges dont les particularités linguistiques frappaient déjà les touristes. Si notre auteur s’intéresse ainsi à cet aspect de la langue, il ne serait pas étonnant qu’il ait introduit des mots régionaux dans Pandora.
