Abstract:
The Common European Framework of References for Languages (CEFR – available at https://rm.coe.int/1680459f97), composed by the Council of Europe in 2001, has proposed six levels of language competence which have been used, among other things, to facilitate language learning, teaching and assessment. When it comes to specific applications to particular languages, attempts have been made to list specific grammatical phenomena that match the requirements of each CEFR level. The present study examines the phenomenon of conditionals in ELT within each level of the CEFR. The aim of the study is to see how the grammatical phenomenon of conditionals is graded in the different levels, review the information provided in textbooks and exam specifications for each level of proficiency and relate this information to the detailed requirements of particular CEFR levels. To this end, the relevant literature is reviewed regarding CEFR and applications such as the English Grammar Profile (https://www.englishprofile.org/). ... : Το Κοινό Ευρωπαϊκό Πλαίσιο Αναφοράς των γλωσσών (ΚΕΠΑ- διαθέσιμο στο: https://rm.coe.int/1680459f97) , το οποίο συντάχθηκε από το Συμβούλιο της Ευρώπης το 2001, προτείνει έξι επίπεδα που περιγράφουν τη γλωσσική ικανότητα και έχουν χρησιμοποιηθεί μεταξύ άλλων για να βοηθήσουν στην εκμάθηση, τη διδασκαλία και την αξιολόγηση μιας γλώσσας. Όσον αφορά την εφαρμογή του σε συγκεκριμένες γλώσσες, έχουν γινεί αρκετές προσπάθειες καταγραφής ορισμένων γραμματικών φαινομένων που να αντιστοιχούν στις απαιτήσεις του ΚΕΠΑ. Η παρούσα διατριβή εξετάζει το φαινόμενο των υποθετικών λόγων ανά επίπεδο στην εκμάθηση των Αγγλικών ως δεύτερη/ξένη γλώσσα. Σκοπός της έρευνας είναι ο προσδιορισμός της διαβάθμισης των υποθετικών λόγων στα διαφορετικά επίπεδα ΚΕΠΑ, αλλά και της θεωρίας που εντοπίζεται στα εγχειρίδια των εξετάσεων ανά επίπεδο και ο συσχετισμός της με τις απαιτήσεις του ΚΕΠΑ.
