	Abstract: Diese Masterarbeit widmet sich der Entstehung und Funktion der polysemen pronominalen Marker 'sich', 'uns' und 'euch', die grundsätzlich reziprok und/oder reflexiv interpretiert werden können. Ihre Mehrdeutigkeit führt häufig zu ambigen Aussagen und wirft die Frage auf, warum der reziproke Bezug im Deutschen nicht strikt vom reflexiven getrennt ist, zumal der Reziprokmarker 'einander' zum eindeutigen Ausdruck von Reziprozität vorhanden ist. Lediglich in Präpositionalphrasen ist die reziproke Lesart ausgeschlossen. Es ist ungeklärt, warum die Marker nach Präpositionen nur reflexiv interpretiert werden können. Unter Betrachtung der Reflexiva 'si' und 'sich', die in mittelbairischen Varietäten für die 1. Person Plural zusätzlich vorhanden sind, werden mögliche Gründe für die Distributionsbeschränkungen der Standard- und Non-Standard-Marker sowie für deren Polysemie diskutiert. Nicht zuletzt wird der Frage nachgegangen, warum einige mittelbairische Varietäten überhaupt zusätzliche Formen besitzen. Dem reziproken Ausdruck ist sowohl in Zusammenhang mit den zusätzlichen Reflexiva des Mittelbairischen als auch mit den Distributionsbeschränkungen eine zentrale Rolle zuzusprechen. Grundlage dafür bieten sprachvergleichende Ansätze, die Reflexivität und Reziprozität als universelle sprachliche Konzepte betrachten und die Grammatikalisierung von ausschließlich reflexiven Markern hin zu reflexiv-reziproken Markern beschreiben. Wichtiger Teil dieser Beschreibung ist die Skizzierung eines Paradigmas der Reflexiv- und Reziprokmarker unter Berücksichtigung auffälliger morphologischer und syntaktischer Gemeinsamkeiten von romanischen Sprachen, dem Standarddeutschen und dem Mittelbairischen. Die Grammatikalisierungsspuren der standarddeutschen Reflexiv- und Reziprokmarker, die möglicherweise unter dem grammatischen Regelwerk verschüttet worden sind, können anhand des Mittelbairischen nachgezeichnet werden – unter besonderer Betonung des Kontinuums zwischen standardnäheren und standardfernen Varietäten. Theoretisch diskutierte Thesen zur Grammatikalisierung, deren Grenzen sowie Eigenschaften und Funktionen der Reflexiva des Deutschen und einiger romanischer Sprachen münden in eine empirische Untersuchung. Mithilfe einer Fragebogenerhebung (n=218) wurde der aktuelle Grammatikalisierungsstand und das Vorkommen der polysemen Reflexiva des Mittelbairischen untersucht, unter anderem um Rückschlüsse auf die vergangene und weitere Entwicklung der polysemen Marker des Standarddeutschen ziehen zu können. Die theoretisch erarbeiteten Thesen zur Entwicklung und Funktion polysemer Reflexivmarker sowie dem zentralen Stellenwert der Reziprozität konnten gestützt werden. Die klaren Verwendungstendenzen der Reflexiva im Mittelbairischen stimmen mit den diskutierten morphosyntaktischen Eigenschaften und Funktionen überein, nicht zuletzt betreffend Präpositionalphrasen. ; This master thesis deals with the origin and function of polysemic pronouns 'sich', 'uns' and 'euch'. They may function either as markers of reflexivity or reciprocity, or both, and therefore often lead to ambiguity. At the same time 'einander' is an unambigous reciprocal marker. Only in prepostional phrases 'sich', 'uns' and 'euch' have no reciprocal interpretation. Questions to be answerded are: Why do these anaphors have both a reflexive and a reciprocal interpretation if it leads to ambiguity? Why are reciprocal readings categorically disallowed for prepostional phrases? In central Bavarian dialects there are additional markers for the first person plural, 'si' and 'sich'. These are as well polysemic and – as will be shown – disallowed for prepositional phrases. Taking these forms into account, not only their distibutional restrictions and polysemy can be examined, but also the function and origin of the Standard German anaphors. Furthermore, the thesis investigates possible reasons for dialects to have additional markers. I will argue that the expression of reciprocity plays a crucial role relating to the distibutional restrictions in Standard German as well as to the additional markers in central Bavarian varieties. On the basis of cross-linguisitic investigations, which consider reflexivity and reciprocity as universal linguisitic concepts, I will discuss why the polysemy of the pronouns can be regarded a result of a grammaticalization path leading from monosemic reflexive pronouns to polysemic markers. Part of this discussion will be to sketch a paradigm unifying reflexive forms in Italian, Spanish, German and its relevant dialects based on shared morphological and syntactic patterns. The grammaticalization path of the polysemic markers is probably buried by grammar rules in Standard German, but may be brought to light considering the non-standardised central Bavarian varieties. Emphasizing the continuum between Standard and Non-Standard German, an empirical study was conducted to prove the theoretical discussion. The study involved the use of a questionnaire (n=218) to examine the actual use of reflexive and reciprocal markers in central Bavarian varieties. One of the study’s main aims was to draw conclusions about past and future developments of the polysemic markers, not only in dialect, but also in Standard German. The theoretical discussion was validated. The clear tendencies in the use of reflexive markers in Central Bavarian varieties correspond to the discussed morphosyntactic characteristics and functions, not least with regard to prepositional phrases.
