引用・伝聞の「って」の用法

Abstract: 国立国語研究所 ; 1 いわゆる引用の助詞とされる「って」には，大きく分けて引用・伝聞・提題・強調の4つの用法がある。（ここでは，前2者をあつかう）2 引用の「って」は，発話・思考を提示するものがもっぱらであり，「と」にくらべると用法は限定されている。3 伝聞の「って」は，「って」が単独で用いられるものと，「（ん）だって」「（ん）ですって」のように複合辞的に用いられるものとがある。4 「（ん）だって」「（ん）ですって」は，いわゆる伝聞（情報伝達）と伝聞の確認（情報確認）の2つの用いられ方をする。これらは，それぞれ情報伝達および情報確認における流れを乱さないように用いられる。いわゆる「伝聞」は，伝聞だけを表すのでなく，伝達・確認というはたらきも合わせ持っている。5 一方，よく似たかたちで，「（ん）だって」「（ん）ですって」という複合辞が存在する。これには，意外・驚きを表すものと，発話をそのまま提示するものとがある。それぞれ，引用・伝聞両方の特徴を持っているが，前者は伝聞的な性質が強く，後者は引用的な性質が強い。 ; 1.Usage of the Japanese colloquial quotative particle tte may be roughly classified into four usages, which are quotation, hearsay (denbun), thematization, and emphasis. I describe the first two usages here. 2.The quotative usage of tte is to express utterance or thought and is restricted compared to its formal form to . 3.In the hearsay usage tte is used by itself or in the form (n)date (polite form is (n)depute). The latter is a compound particle and has a fixed meaning beyond just a combination of n(=no)da and tte.4.(N)datte describes reported speech information. On the other hand , it also confirms the information to hearer by rising intonation. These usages regulate the transmission of information as well as marking quotation. 5.There is an another fixed compound particle (n)datte ((n)desutte), which expresses two different meanings.
