Abstract: O Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) é definido como um transtorno do neurodesenvolvimento caracterizado por déficits na comunicação e interação social, associado a comportamentos e interesses restritos e repetitivos que se inicia em fase precoce do desenvolvimento infantil. Leo Kanner, em 1943, fez a primeira descrição clínica de autismo ao observar onze crianças que apresentavam limitações no relacionamento com as outras pessoas, desde o início da vida, e alterações no desenvolvimento da linguagem. O diagnóstico do TEA deve se apoiar nos critérios estabelecidos na literatura, na experiência clínica do profissional que lida com desenvolvimento infantil e da adolescência, no relato dos pais/cuidadores e nas escalas e questionários disponíveis para essa população. No entanto, no Brasil, há escassez de instrumentos que avaliem as fases da adolescência e vida adulta. O objetivo deste trabalho foi criar uma escala que contemple os comportamentos mais observados na população do sexo masculino com diagnóstico clínico de autismo. A escala foi criada a partir de questionários e inventários para avaliar o TEA em crianças, sendo estas, Escala de Avaliação do Autismo na Infância (CARS), Escala de Traços Autisticos (ATA), Inventário de Comportamentos Autisticos (ICA), Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) e o Questionário de Avaliação do Autismo (ASQ). Cinco juízes, especialistas nas áreas de psiquiatria e neuropsicologia e com experiência em infância e adolescência, participaram da análise semântica e de conteúdo das sentenças da escala. Das 150 perguntas foram selecionadas 61 questões e 16 itens de um total de 21. Desta análise correlacionou-se estatisticamente GC X TEA X DI em escore total e de 2 a 2, sendo GC X TEA, GC X DI e TEA X DI. A escala foi respondida pelos pais/responsáveis dos pacientes do ambulatório psiquiátrico do Hospital Santa Casa de Misericórdia do Rio de Janeiro (SCMRJ), do Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Infanto Juvenil (CAPSI), da Associação de Pais e Amigos do Excepcional (APAE), do Ambulatório de Atendimento em Saúde Mental e Associação de Reabilitação e Terapias (Artrevo). Foram analisados 90 sujeitos divididos em grupos de 30 pacientes autistas (TEA), 30 pacientes com deficiência intelectual (DI) e 30 pessoas do grupo controle (GC). Os resultados demonstraram alta eficácia em especificidade e sensibilidade para os grupos GCX TEA, GC X DI e TEA X DI podendo ser utilizado em sujeitos do sexo masculino com idade de 11 a 25 anos. Para comparação entre os grupos GC X TEA X DI aplicou-se o teste de Kruskall-Wallis com comparações múltiplas de Tukey fornecendo discriminações significativas entre as médias do GC comparada às dos TEAs e DIs. Desta forma, a escala de rastreio mostrou ser eficaz entre os grupos analisados, embora apresente limitações, sobretudo, quanto ao gênero no qual foi baseado o estudo para amostra clínica e grupos específicos. Pretende-se dar continuidade futura ao assunto ; Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is defined as a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by deficits in communication and social interaction, associated with restricted and repetitive behaviors and interests that begins at an early stage of child development. Leo Kanner, in 1943, made the first clinical description of autism by observing eleven children who had limitations in relationships with others from the beginning of life and disordered language development. The diagnosis of ASD should be based on the criteria established in the literature, on the clinical experience of the professional dealing with child and adolescent development, on the report of parents / caregivers, and on the scales and questionnaires available to this population. However, in Brazil, there is a shortage of instruments that evaluate the stages of adolescence and adulthood. The objective of this work was to create a scale that contemplates the most observed behaviors in the male population with clinical diagnosis of autism. The scale was created from questionnaires and inventories to assess ASD in children, which are: Childhood Autism Rating Scale (CARS), Autistic Traits Scale (ATA), Autistic Behaviors Checklist (ABC), Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers (M-CHAT) and the Autism Assessment Questionnaire (ASQ). Five judges, specialists in the fields of psychiatry and neuropsychology and experienced in childhood and adolescence, participated in the semantic and content analysis of the scale sentences. From the 150 questions, 61 questions and 16 items were selected from a total of 21. This analysis statistically correlated CG X ASD X ID in total score and from 2 to 2, being CG X ASD, CG X ID and ASD X ID. The scale was answered by the parents / guardians of patients from the psychiatric outpatient clinic of Hospital Santa Casa de Misericordia do Rio de Janeiro (SCMRJ), Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Infanto Juvenil (CAPSI), Associação de Pais e Amigos do Excepcional (APAE), Ambulatório de Atendimento em Saúde Mental and Associação de Reabilitação e Terapias (Artrevo). We analyzed 90 subjects divided into groups of 30 autistic patients (ASD), 30 patients with intellectual disability (ID) and 30 control group (CG). The results demonstrated high efficacy in specificity and sensitivity for CGX ASD, CG X ID and ASD X ID groups and can be used in males aged 11 to 25 years. For comparison between CG X ASD X ID groups we applied the Kruskall-Wallis test with multiple Tukey comparisons providing significant discriminations between the means of the CG compared to those of the ASDs and IDs. Thus, the screening scale proved to be effective among the groups analyzed, although it has limitations, especially regarding the gender on which the study was based for clinical sample and specific groups.
