Abstract:
International audience ; This paper presents a model of causality based on force dynamics. Causal relations are conceptualized as interactions between two entities: Agonist and Antagonist. We conceive of causality as a region of conceptual structure, and we address its main features and its ontology. The possible outcomes of the interactions between the two participants, along with other criteria, provide the basis for a typology of causal scenarios. We discuss other semantic information used in the linguistic expression of causality: the semantic fields in which causal relations are constructed and the focalization of the participants. The model allows us to formulate problems that go beyond the analysis of causative verbs or conjunctions. ; Este artículo presenta un modelo de la causalidad basado en la dinámica de fuerzas. Las relaciones causales se conceptualizan como interacciones entre dos entidades: agonista y antagonista. Concibo la causalidad como una región de la estructura conceptual y analizo sus características generales y su ontología. Los resultados posibles de las interacciones entre ambos actantes, junto con otros criterios, sirven de base a una tipología de escenarios causales. Trato otros contenidos que intervienen en la expresión lingüística de la causalidad: campos nocionales en los que se construyen relaciones causales y la focalización de los actantes. El modelo permite formular problemas que trascienden el análisis de verbos o conjunciones causativas.
