外語學習者對於手機裝置為語言學習工具之實務評估 ; Practical Evaluation of a Mobile Language Learning Tool for EFL Learners
Abstract: 本研究旨在論述大學生對於行動輔助語言學習與語言學習的相關。文中探討六個面向——「語言學習策略」、「行動裝置資源」、「行動裝置與語言學習成就之間的關係」、「透過電影欣賞學習en-US單字之成效」、「行動輔助語言學習教室與語言學習態度之間的關係」、「控制組(紙本閱讀)與實驗組(電影欣賞)在閱讀參與、單字學習與閱讀理解之間的影響」。本研究對象有150位大學生參與研究;研究結果指出:藉由行動裝置進行電影欣賞的實驗組在語言學習成就、語言學習態度、閱讀參與和閱讀理解比紙本閱讀的控制組顯著。因此,在行動輔助語言學習教室中,學生正向的學習態度與成效是可以預期的。此外,從問卷的資料分析中亦發現,控制組的學生與實驗組的學生指出行動輔助語言學習可以改善語言學習;因此,利用行動輔助語言學習的en-US教學是一種有效激勵學生的語言學習。同時,針對本研究,也檢討限制及不足之處,對未來研究方向提出建議。 ; The purpose of the study was to discuss college students’ connection between mobile-assisted language learning and language learning. There were six dimensions conducted in the study: (a) language learning strategies, (b) mobile technology resources, (c) the correlation between mobile technology and language learning achievement, (d) the effectiveness of vocabulary learning through movie watching, (e) the correlation between mobile-assisted language learning classroom and language learning attitude, and (f) the effect between the control group (paper reading) and the experimental group (movie watching) in reading engagement, vocabulary learning, and reading comprehension. There are one hundred and fifty EFL college students participating in the study. The results proved that the experimental group with movie watching by mobile technology outperformed the control group with paper reading on language learning achievement, language learning attitude, reading engagement, and reading comprehension. There was a positive attitude among mobile-assisted language learning classroom. Besides, from the data analysis from questionnaire, both the control group students and the experimental group students pointed that mobile-assisted language learning could improve their language learning. Thus, English teaching in mobile-assisted language learning was a more efficacious way to stimulate student language learning. Pedagogical implications, limitation of the study and suggestions for future studies were presented.
